Miniature Artist & Portrait Painter

Miniature paintings have long been popular for portrait work but are equally suited to landscape, wildlife art, still life or any other form of picture, though as miniatures are traditionally defined as no more than six inches wide/tall, most of my work could be considered as small even by the standards of many miniaturists. Such paintings are widely collected as a recognised art form in their own right, but are also popular amongst Doll’s House Miniaturists for decorating their small homes. Although I’ll often have a few tiny paintings "in stock" and available for sale that I've painted just for my own amusement, much of my work is bespoke by request. This can range from copies of famous paintings by a wide range of artists in an equally broad range of styles, through to original works based upon a theme or topic of interest to the client, along with portraits of client’s friends, family or relatives. My work has won prizes in competition and received coverage in several internationally circulated magazines resulting in clients spread around the world including private museums and foreign royalty. All my work is hand painted and can be produced to fit a particular frame or piece of jewellery, or alternatively if needed a frame can be produced to fit a desired size of painting.

Outside of the more traditional aspects of miniature paintings as a collectible form of art I've also been employed as a miniature artist on some pretty eclectic and unusual work for advertising and TV, working on 'canvases' as bizzare as insects and tiny cheeses, so if you are looking for something just that bit different don't be afraid to contact me..
