I like a challenge and I like to learn new craft skills. Consequently I've tackled a huge variety of work and constantly read around any practical craft based subject I can acquire good reference material upon.I am happy to undertake both two dimensional art work and three dimensional craft work, and having worked for, museums, historical re-enactors, authors, architects, theatre groups and many more, can claim with some justification to have a braod range of experience to draw upon.
To date I have made assorted costumes, soft toys, foam latex weaponry and masks for Re-enactors, carried out assorted leatherwork projects ,blown glass, worked various metals, made wooden furniture and decorated cakes. This all being in addition to the varied conservation and restoration work I have underatken for the museum services which have employed me; Work which has included a ships figure head, waterlogged Viking longboats, Roman sandals, Anglo-saxon weapory and jewellery and other archaeological material, along with stone statuary, architectural material and a whole host of other odd one off tasks.
So if there's something unusual you've always wanted and you don't know who to ask
- then try me; I might have already done it and if not I'll probably be all the
more interested in giving it a try.
