I've been involved with both traditional painting and sketching along with small scale model making for many years. It was therefore a natural progression to combine the two and start painting miniature pictures. Initially this was just for my own enjoyment, this then spread to taking on the occassional commission, and my work is now so popular I regularly take a large batch of miniature paintings for sale 'over the counter' at exhibitions and fairs. Although I'm happy to paint a wide variety of types of miniatures, I specialise in portrait work and I am particularly fond of 17th century Dutch works by Artists such as Vermeer. Not only are these great paintings at full size, but the sharp contrasts and bold ligthing mean they work well as miniatures too.

I'd be more than happy to quote for producing miniature portraits of you, your friends and family or even a famous celebrity.
