NOTE ALSO that I receive a large number of e-mails and phone calls requesting advice on a wide range of subjects from tips and techniques for model making to research into traditional crafts and historical re-enactment. Could I ask people to respect the fact that I run this as a business in order to make a living. Quite simply I cannot afford to spend two or three hours a day dealing with people who want free tution or advice on how best to undertake their own projects. Furthermore it is particularly frustrating when the answers to many of the questions they are asking are all available in the Free Resources section of this web site. Could I therefore ask that you only contact me to discuss potential business, or if wishing advice you wait to speak to me in person when I am demonstrating or teaching at exhibtions or other events. I would also ask that any images e-mailed to me as part of an intial enquiry about commissioned work be sent as jpeg format and be restricted to a maximum combined file size of 100kb. (preferably much less) If necessary we can then discuss any further visual references needed and whether these need to be of a higher resolution or larger file size.
