Miniatures by Aidan Campbell

1/64th scale, or 'S' scale is commonly referred to as the scratch builders scale because of the general lack of support from the model railway trade here in Britain. As such it is quite a minority scale, though it is a little more popular in America and Australia. Nevertheless it is a scale in which a few dedicated builders have produced some quite unique and exquisite work, and is a scale to which I am being increasingly drawn. This small range of figures was produced on the request of the 'S' Scale Society, after discussion with their trade officer who expressed an interest in acquiring figures in this otherwise hard to come by scale. I have tried where possible, to sculpt this small selection of figures in such a way so as to make them suitable for as wide a range of periods and subjects as possible, and would be easily adaptable to a greater range still; Allowing me to cater for the often diverse and obscure interests of many of these scratch builders, although the emphasis is towards the first half of the twentieth century, the period modelled by, an albeit small majority of the society members.

Please note that I would not ordinarily bring minority interest items such as these to general model railway exhibitions, unless specifically requested to do so. Therefore, if you would wish to purchase or just see samples of these figures at any of the shows listed in my diary page please contact me in advance to make arrangmenets to do so.

Contact me if you have any suggestions for the types of figures you would like to see made available in this scale.
